The accessibility features in the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform’s Media Player are designed to make it easier for Viewers to access and understand video content.
Accessing Caption Settings
The Media Player supports closed captions for videos in different languages. If a media includes more than one caption file, Viewers will be able to select which caption file to display on the Media Player. Closed captions are generated by automatic speech recognition (ASR).
To access the Closed Capture Settings, follow these steps:
Start by playing a video in the YuJa Media Player.
On the bottom right corner of the player, click on the CC icon.
Choose the desired language or caption style from the menu if it is available.
The captions should appear on the video screen as the video plays.
Configuring Caption Bar Settings
You can customise the caption size, font colour, background colour, or text font.
Start by playing a video in the YuJa Media Player.
On the bottom right corner of the player, click the Settings (gear) icon, and select Caption Settings.
Choose Options from the list.
You can customize the captions bar’s font, size, colour, as well as scaling and opacity.
Moving the Caption Bar
The Media Player supports the ability to move the Caption Bar around the screen.
Start by playing a video in the YuJa Media Player.
On the bottom right corner of the player, click on the CC icon to allow captions to play.
Click and drag the Caption Bar to relocate.
Keyboard Navigation
The Media Player can be easily navigated using a keyboard. This feature ensures that individuals who cannot use a mouse or touch screen can still interact with and control the video playback.
Start by playing a video in the YuJa Media Player.
On the bottom right corner of the player, click on the Show Sidebar button.
Select the Shortcuts option to see the full list.
Adjustable Playback Speed
The Media Player allows users to adjust the playback speed of the video. This feature is helpful for individuals who may have difficulty processing information at the default speed or prefer to speed up or slow down the content.
Start by playing a video in the YuJa Media Player.
On the bottom right corner of the player, click the Settings (gear) icon.
Select the Speed option.
Select the playback speed based on your preference.
