Shutterstock is a leading global provider of high-quality licensed images. TAFE SA is a licensed subscriber and images can be downloaded from Shutterstock for you by Library Services, the managers of the account. These watermark-free copies of the images will be uploaded to our Shutterstock Image Library on Sharepoint temporarily so you can retrieve them easily for use in Learn and other teaching resources.
Once the images are added there, they will be stored for a week (if you require the same graphics again after that let us know, we can upload them again.) We are also happy to undertake image searches on your behalf.
Please read the instructions below before proceeding.
SEARCHING & RETRIEVING IMAGES
- Search https://www.shutterstock.com/ and find the images you want - make a note of the ID numbers (found in small print beneath each graphic on the site). (NOTE - you will be unable to download images directly from Shutterstock itself as these will contain a watermark, hence the "authorized" versions need to be added here first).
- Email your request to librarian@tafesa.edu.au, listing the ID numbers of the images you require.
- Library staff will retrieve the images from Shutterstock.com and upload them to the Newly downloaded images page on the Shutterstock Image Library site on Sharepoint, and notify you when this has been done.
- You can then navigate to the Newly downloaded images page, click on your name to expand the list of images that have been added for you, tick the checkbox next to your name to select all then click Download.
- IMPORTANT - When you use images from Shutterstock, it is not necessary to give attribution UNLESS your project includes credited stock images from other sources as well - in which case you should include a statement Image used under license from Shutterstock.com.
