Australian Standards

Most Australian Standards are accessed on the Techstreet database as PDF documents. Standards are protected by FileOpen, which is Digital Rights Management (DRM) software to control or prevent digital copies from being shared and stored over computer networks.

Downloaded standards using DRM do not expire.

The TAFE SA license agreement does not allow you to upload Standards to Learn.

The preferred alternative is to post a hyperlink direct link, so only registered accounts can access the full PDF

Here's how:

Using your newly created Techstreet account, search for the required standard and simply copy the URL displayed in the browser search bar:

Information page for standard in Techstreet database, showing options to download or view online

That URL can be posted within Learn or emailed to your students.

To open the link they MUST have registered for a Techstreet account & have the required DRM plugin - they simply sign in with their newly created Techstreet account:

Login page for Techstreet database

They can then choose to Download the document to their device or View online.
