Logging in to your library account

TAFE SA uses a Single Sign On system, which means you can use a single login to sign into computers in the library or elsewhere on campus, and to sign into MyTAFESA to access Learn, Office 365, your enrolment and fees information, and your saved files, whether you're on campus or elsewhere. Your TAFE SA email address (in the format firstname.lastname@student.tafesa.edu.au) also serves as your username for these services.

The library catalogue is also a part of this system, so you can use your TAFE SA student login to access your library account.

If you log into MyTAFESA and click the Library button, you will be automatically signed in.

If you open the library webpage (https://tafesa.spydus.com) without going via MyTAFESA first, you can login there by clicking on the Login link in the top right cornerselecting the Login using your TAFE SA account option and entering your ID details there.

Alternatively, you can enter your dedicated library account ID and PIN in the login area lower down in the same box:

The Borrower ID for your library account is your Student ID number and PIN is the first four digits of your date of birth in DDMM  format - e.g. if your birthdate is 2nd July, your PIN will be 0207. (These are the same details you will use if you borrow a laptop from the lockers at campuses with LapSafe facilities.  Please note that logging into your library account using these credentials will not log you into MyTAFESA, Learn, or other applications, only the library.)

Once logged in, you can check what you have on loan, extend your loans, reserve items, and use our databases, streaming videos and e-journals.
