Australian Companion Animal Council Inc. As a non-profit organisation the Australian Companion Animal Council (ACAC) provides a forum for the pet care industry to promote the benefits of socially responsible companion animal ownership to individuals, the community and all levels of government through research, education and advocacy.
Australian Veterinary Association: Policy and positions The AVA is Australia’s premier reference group for policy and information about animal health and welfare. The association maintains relationships with national, state and local levels of government, and provides advice on all aspects of animal health and welfare policy.
AVA PetPEP Teaches children and the community about responsible pet ownership, safety around animals, healthy living (pets and people), welfare of animals and animals in the community. Includes games, activities and fact sheets.
Centre for Companion Animals in the Community (CCAC) The Centre for Companion Animals in the Community has been established by the Australian Veterinary Association as a centre of expertise on companion animal ownership and management.
